Who will be our most important RB by the end of this season, going into '27?

I’m still intrigued by Larison’s skill set. He got injured before we could see what he could really do against top competition.

Gibson if healthy
one of the untested 1st or 2nd year players could be PS while learning the offense
Stevenson, Henderson, Gibson, Gilliam would be one of the better groups in the league

Of course, a Gibson who is expected to come back anywhere near 100% is a no-brainer, even if starts out on IR.
Gibson was released in February.

and who did Gibsom sign with? If we want Gibson, I suspect we can sign him.
I doubt they resign someone they recently released. Rarely, if ever, happens.

Diggs maybe gets resigned because it was a $$ dispute (but that is still a long shot).

I think they are getting younger and cheaper with Larison, Miller, or Montgomery.

Gibson's release was injury related not performance related.
he will be 28 years old for the 2026 season
he returns kicks. prior to injury he was very fast, at a legit 230 lbs. he has shown to be an excellent pass catcher and adept at pass pro.
he can step into a rotation immediately if either Stevenson or Henderson were to miss any time (if healthy)
his deal would obviously be predicated on passing a physical and incentivized.
his wife wants to be here
his injury occurred in week 5. Diggs injury occurred in week 8, and he returned to play week 1. Gibson could be ready.

Henderson was improving alot through the year. In the first jets game i can remember he didn’t explode but he showed some vision and patience that we weren’t really seeing before. We had already seen his big play ability. Shortly after he hit a bit of a rookie wall. Im hoping for a great year 2 for him and more consistency.

Rham hit his stride right when Henderson started to struggle. The rham we got down the stretch is worth the contract, its just been a tossup on whether youll get that guy or a jag sometimes with ball security issues since year 3.

I really liked what i saw of larison, but at the same time everyone looked really good in that first preseason game. Im hoping between him and the Alabama kid we have an effective rb3. We could add some depth here but overall its a strong position imo.
