I just don't know if we can pay him. I'm sorry this might just be a kneejerk reaction, but it just seems like whenever we need him most is when he gets hurt. There's alot of big name free agent corners out there this year.. I don't know all I'm saying is we should at least take a glance at other possibilities before giving him that big wad of cash. His injury issues really concern me.

Not a knee jerk reaction at all. 2 straight years we get to this point and he ends up on the sideline for both. We are def better with him, but he's becoming to be unrealiable.

He is good, but injury prone. Need to get another good cb or talib needs hip surgery.

Talib and Gronk will probably run into each other Friday before next year's AFCCG and both be out.

It's not knee jerk at all, it's hard to committ long term to someone as injury prone as he is, especially if it is going to eat up a good chunk of your already limited cap space.

BB has said many admiring things about Talib this year, but I don't recall him using the word "tough".

No doubt we need talib, what we need is more depth. I say pay the man,Pay Edelman too.

His injury issues may make him cheaper to keep. I haven't seen who else is out there but I'm nervous about giving someone who has never played in our system a big contract.

I am glad BB is making this call.
It is a tough one.

keep him if the contract is reasonable, but needs to keep an eye on depth with an injury prone player like him. Cannot stack the roster with too many of these types, best ability is availability.

One would have to prove that he is more injury prone than other #1/#2 CB's ... and I don't think that is the case.

I'd give him market value or slightly above in return for a one year deal. No multi-year on someone edging towards 30 who's already had plenty of problems staying on the field for this team.

While the lasting image of 2011 was Welker's drop, for the last two years during the AFC Championship we have seen Aqib Talib being our highest paid cheerleader. I'd rather have a pretty good secondary without him that a secondary that looks great when Talib plays, but is putrid when he gets hurt.

Staying or not, we need some more players. I'm hopeful about Ryan (who drew a really rough assignment for a rookie) and Harmon, and with another season they should be better. But we need more.
