Surprise cuts this camp?

It does feel like a Boutte cut would be a shock to some here.

I've noticed over the middle.

I'm keeping an eye on it.

That's your example?

Show a cross over the middle where he could get popped.

There were a couple last year and Boutte barely bothered.
Family,

We're just nit picking here. Can we just agree that he's a young player that stands to continue to get better ? Instead of continual bust at the position. As a #4 wr he's solid.

He seemed to have developed chemistry with Maye end of last season. I got the impression that Booty put in the work and that bomb TD was a product of it.

This is year 3 for Booty. Could go either way.

Teakwood Thornton avoided the ball.

Maybe because he was thin as linguine?

Agreed 100%... for Polk for example not being available at camp isn't a good sign for him. By virtue of his draft status he'll hang around for now. Boutte is a guy who's hungry and is getting better and better. Boutte had multiple big plays for TDs from Drake last season.

One week to go before cutdown day.

Strange at this point probably wouldn't be as much of a surprise if he's cut. Patella tear is a very difficult injury to recover from. He has the look of a guy whose career is cut short by the wrong kind of injury tbh and he wouldn't be the first.

Dugger would have been a huge surprise but looking at how he's being used in camp maybe not anymore.

Rham's guaranteed $ will make it difficult to cut him so that would make him a surprise if he's cut. I still think he's expendable. I don't think he was ever as good as people wanted to think he was and he has a fumbling problem.

I mentioned Pop in the OP... he had a pretty good camp so that would be a big surprise. There was noise about Diggs but I think it would have happened already after the boat video.

Polk and Bourne are cut candidates on the 26th but I wouldn't call either a surprise.

How's this for a surprise name: Dobbs.

Makes sense.

I thought he had whats necessary for a backup role but it's a tough business and he's not performing well.

Yup. Obviously that would mean the Pats would be short a vet backup but I'm sure they can find one somewhere.

Great post sb1.. so if Dobbs is cut we are left with wooldridge

Boutte shies away from contact.

Similar to Tyguan.
Interestingly, Tyquan seems to be running with the 1s in KC now. I guess at least partly due to injury but I saw him catch a couple of balls from Mahomes the other day and it the worst, it looks like he's 2d in the depth chart. Of course, KC needed WRs badly, and if anyone can make it work, it will be Mahomes and Reid.

Thanks! Dobbs is... not good. I'm sure there is a vet out there somewhere. I see there's talk the Browns might make Flacco their week 1 starter. I don't buy that. I'd take him here if they cut him. Or even our old buddy Zappe if and when he hits the Chiefs PS.

Except they ARE making him the starter. I doubt it lasts the whole season, but we shouldn't be picking up someone in the middle of the year, even if they eventually release him. Plus, I expect he'd be awful in the McDaniels system.

I think Dugger would be a shock due to the cap hit and he's guaranteed 2025 salary.

Jennings and Tavai because it's talked about, but never happens.

My post is from pre July 27-28th because this came out a day or two later.

Boutte highlighting concrete areas of improvement: “I’d just say physicality, fighting through contact at the top of the routes, and just getting open and catching the ball. Everything else will take care of itself.”

So Boutte is somewhat aware this has been a weakness in his game.

Your welcome. Like Hollins Dobbs is here for now.. they committed 2 years to him guaranteed $$$.. like Brissett we know he's not all that.. but i would entrust a Josh McDaniels game plan god forbid he had to play over anything the volunteers did last year or the loyalists the years prior.

I doubt you will surprise cuts, one because it’s been analyzed to death, two because the names that would be considered surprise cuts really can’t be released until next year.

Where we at on the waiver wire?
#4

Every time a player is waived (1000 times maybe), the patriots are 4th in line to claim that player. Of course, we have to have our roster at 53 by 4 PM.
