Suppose Kraft asks for an independent arbitrator?

I'm sure that contractually the Pats have no right to an independent arbitrator.

I'm equally sure that the other owners could agree to supply one, either as:
  • A rule change that they vote on.
  • Something that would likely be spun as a one-time experiment that might or might not be turned into a rule change later.
The downside for them is that they'd have to be more open to giving independent arbitration to players too, but that ship has kind of sailed unless the retirement of Judge Doty makes a huge practical legal difference.

This strikes me as the level of concession that Kraft COULD get from his fellow owners in return for not suing, not resigning from all his committees, and generally not going rogue.
