Our streak is at risk. We haven't lost consecutive games since week 16 of the 2002 season.

This is a big game for us.

Last night's game was a real eye opener. Normally we only lose when we turn the ball over and make all kinds of mistakes. But Denver totally undressed us. We were healthy and we didn't turn the ball over. I can't even remember the last time we lost the game when I could say those two statements.

I don't think Denver is nearly as good as Cincy. It looks like I've badly overrated this team.

I'm not giving up hope though. I still feel that we can become a good team if Gabriel and Jackson get on the same page with Brady and emerge as legitimate weapons.

The problem is that I don't see that happening for at least another month or so and our next five games are all against teams that can or maybe even should beat us.

The worst thing about that game was how badly our Oline and Dline were outplayed. Those are supposed to be the strengths of this team.

I feel like I don't know whø this team is or what to expect.

I miss the old fiery Brady. The guy with passion who was always jumping up and down like a crazy man and headbutting his teammates. Where'd that guy go?

The streak was on the line after we lost to Buffalo in 03. The streak was on the line when we lost to Washington in 03. The streak was on the line when we lost to the Jets and Steelers in 04. The streak was on the line when we lost to Carolina last year, it was on the line when we lost to San Diego last year, the streak was on the line when we lost to Denver last year, it was on the line when we lost to Indy last year and finally it was on the line when we lost to the Chiefs.

Do you get my point?

We are going to flat out kick butt in Cincy on Sunday.

No offense, but I highly doubt that. Though Cincy doesn't have a great defense, they have an incredible offense, and will beat us by at least 7 points on Sunday. No way do we match up well against them. This isn't a great Patriots team, a good one yes, but I don't think we have what it takes to beat Cincy, in Cincy.

Has Carson Palmer ever faced a Belichick defense? Its my hope that Belichick finds a way to confuse Palmer just like he has done in the past with other explosive offenses like St. Louis and Indy. The only fear I have is that there are going to be A LOT of PI and illegal contact calls against the Pats.

Listing each of our previous losses has no impact on the threat we currently find ourselves. in. We might end up as a double digit underdog in Cincy.

This is by far our biggest threat to that streak. We're going to need to play a heck of a game. On a positive note, Shanahan is the only Belichick equalizer in the game. So Cincy won't have the same advantage that Denver enjoys.

Hopefully our team comes together this week amidst all the coming Doom & Gloom talk heading our way this week. I think I can smell an upset cooking in Cincinnatti.

Yes Carson Palmer has faced a Belichick defense and hung 28 points on it......any more questions? The steak ends Sunday. I'm a huge Patriots fan but I'm a realist also. The team doesn't have the talent or chemistry to go into Cincy and win it. I see 3-2 at the bye week still in first place in the AFCE.

The Bengals are a lot better team then the one the Patriots played in 04 and the Patriots are not a better team since then.

The one area the Pats can really disrupt Cincy is with pressure. I think the front 3 or 4, depending on the down, can get pressure on Palmer. They got into the backfield consistently vs the Jets and the Broncos. The Broncos, though, have a much more mobile qb. If they can get pressure and slow the running game, the Pats have a punchers chance.

What I don't like is Cincinatti's big, fast, athletic wr's vs the Pats shorter db's. The Pats did a good job vs big wr's in the playoff game with Jax last year but those guys are not on the same plane as Johnson, Housh, Washington, and Henry.

Yes...but Brady was still good then, look at him now. I'm afraid Cincy is going to KILL us. It's been a long time since we were so over matched by another team.

At this point.. the streak is the least of our concerns

Wasn't Crennel the real mastermind behind the Belichick D. We haven't been the same defense since he left!! I'm not too worried about penalties...somehow we always seem to end up on top in the penalty game.
