I would have moved on from BB in 2018 (or at least 2019) and kept TB. But saying that at the time would have been denounced as heresy. Literaly everybody refused to see what was going on and labeled the reports we had at the time as gossip from pseudo-jounalists.

I think it was not about his style (which I still think it was/is correct). But the exasperation of his style and the inability to let it go just a little bit acknowledging TB "exceptionalism". And not being held accountable for his mistakes by RK.
So, Ego and the old say "power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely".

Kraft bet on the wrong horse. A lot of people knew it was a mistake at the time and even I never imagined Bill would be this bad without Brady.

To clarify. I meant for the 2018 season, so after philly loss. And in any case after n. 6, yes. It wss clear that it wss time to chose: BB or TB. RK waited too long and made the wrong decision. Franchise was left with TB gone and BB pissed and unreliable.

Flores saved Brady from himself because going to Miami would've been a disaster for him.

Regardless, if you fire Belichick after the 2017 loss to the Eagles, you don't win a Super Bowl next year.

Why would anyone trade a Super Bowl victory only in order to keep Brady (on a rapidly aging team, as we saw in 2019)? With any other coach, the Patriots don't win in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 & 2023. At least we got one in 2019.

Personally, I'd rather win Super Bowls than sing Kumbaya.

But ... putting Spygate as a stain on BB demonstrates how tremendously ignorant and biased you are. The axe you grind is massive, the spite is palpable. It's a terrible, misinformed, ugly look. You routinely say untrue, unfair, absurd things. You don't treat others well, you're not intellectually honest/fair, you do not evaluate your own positions/assumptions.

He admitted to spygate for Christ sakes. He admitted he liked to push the boundaries of the league. He set up the video cameras in NY no less after Roger sent the memo specifically saying not to set up on the field. Kraft called him a ****ing idiot. What more do want? He cost us not one but TWO first round draft picks and got Brady suspended over fricking ball deflation because he had an axe to grind with the league and never went to therapy over his inability to never let a fricking thing go.

Why so few?

That’s not few.

They won in 2016 and 2018.

They lost in 2017 as a direct result of their coach. That’s a probable win with someone else.

They lost in 2015 partly because of a moronic decision by their coach.

They won in 2020 with a different coach.

Other years, who knows? Luck, injuries etc. The best team doesn’t always win. But usually the best team doesn’t have to overcome their coach sabotaging seasons either.
