Unsung Heroes: The Soccer Players

Stephen Gostkowski and Ryan Allen had great games. Gostkowski was 3 for 3 on field goals. Two of them just shy of 50 yards. His FGs greatly changed the context of the game from where we would be tied or behind to being slightly ahead.

Ryan Allen only had to punt twice but both were in the realm of 55 yards with nice hang time.

We might have the best kicker and punter duo in the NFL four weeks into the season.

Kudos to unfairly maligned Gost!

Am I the only one here who is not dead certain that one of his kicks actually made it? Sailed over the goalposts and hard to tell even in HD. Why some incontrovertible electronic monitor is not used on FGs is SO twentieth century.
