It's all nearly automatic with the rookie pay scale so there's nothing really to worry about; they'll be signed by camp. Not sure why it even gets considered news when a rookie signs now.

I think the small amount of room for negotiation is with regards to guarantees/structure, so if there's any holdup, it can't be over anything major.

Minicamp/OTAs don't seem to require contracts. I don't know the official rule but I remember back when it was rare to have your full rookie class signed by then, everyone still practiced.
