Spygate stench sticks to Belichick

Why are we still talking about Spygate again?

Hench should stick to screenwriting. Things must be slow in Hollywood. This was a piece designed to draw attention to himself as a sportswriter via hits to a PT employers website.

Didn't he used to write for Dirt Dog? Some people build entire careers around simply taking shots at guys whose jock they can't carry. BB remains a first ballot HOF lock. It may not be a unanimous vote because the voters are after all mediots.

Ughhhhhhh, these threads should be banned this season

Lets scour the web for any article that speaks poorly of the pats, then lets get all riled up about it!!!!!

Please get a life!!!!!

I have no desire to rehash Spygate again especially when most everyone has moved on.

This stuff is going to start getting mentioned again...after all, it's almost the "one year anniversary" of Spygate.

I imagine it will be rehashed to death between weeks one and two. Peter King, Mike Florio, Mike Lupica, that ****** that wrote about the Belichick sex tape for that gambling site...they will be all over it. Might as well just stay off the internet if you're gonna get riled up about it.

A major upset like the Bears beating the Colts week one will make people forget the anniversary. I see that as a potential upset (although a long shot). Also, Miami beating the Jets (more likely) would also be big news with all the storylines (Parcells' influence over the Dolphins, Pennington's revenge, Favre's clunker debut, etc.). Either one of those happen and that will be all the media will be talking about after the first week of play.

hench is usually decent when it comes to the pats...surprised he wrote a rehash article for the sake of it.

Are you a Pats fan....? Why bring up more crap about something that is over and done with.....written by some hack that is trying to get some notoriety/attention and get some coverage here........please......let no other TRUE Pats fan post anything related to this BS ever again.....thx

This coming from a TRUE Pats fan who's been savaging an actual Patriots player during the preseason.

You gotta wonder if Hench realizes that the AFC Championship Trophy is named after the master of espionage in the NFL? That might make him feel just a little less righteous.

http://www.thesportgallery.com/sport-stories/1967aug-nflspy.html

When I spoke to Al Davis recently about the present status of espionage in the American Football League, he said Kansas City was by far the worst offender. "The Chiefs are the Bears of the AFL," Davis said. "Lamar Hunt has come out publicly and admitted it."

"You mean he's admitted he employs full-time spies?"

"Yes, he's admitted budgeting for espionage. Of course, if you talk to him, he'll be just like all the rest of 'em--their favorite line is: 'We just don't do those things'--but ask anybody in the league and they'll tell you about Kansas City. Call Don Klosterman in Houston and ask him about the Chiefs."

I spoke to Klosterman, a former Chiefs executive who is now general manager of the Oilers. "Oh yeah," Klosterman confirmed, "Kansas City spies, we caught 'em last year when we played them in their Municipal Stadium. See, the benches are on the same side of the field and they had this guy who was supposedly a roving photographer, but he was really a spy. . . He was snooping by our bench. Every time one of our coaches would say something important to one of our players, this guy would run over and relay the information to the Kansas City bench. I'm not makin' this up . . . we've got pictures of it."

I vote to create a folder for Spygate on this board where all these can be posted. Keep it out of the main Fan forum.

will the media ever move on from this?

Slow week + low hanging fruit = easy column to write on the way to a long weekend vacation

Check out the poll, that says it all. 62% for BB being a great coach.

Not anymore, now 57% think he's a "cheater".
