Steve Young and Emmitt Smith were asked what the disappointments were for yesterdays games. Young said the Chargers. He said he figured with what transpired this week, they'd capitalize on it. Smith said he picked the fact the "their coach was on the sideline." Said he should have been at the house for 3, 4 maybe 5 weeks.

Maybe Emmitt should stick with the Dancing with the stars crap. :bricks:

Apparently, all of the blows to the head made Emmitt forget what team he played on.

This from the guy whose teamates had a house where the players had whores and cocaine. Again like the Dungy comments these guys should live by the "those in glass houses" motto. Unless Emmitt wants to moralize about his own teams' sordid history (and BB didn't break the law) then he should keep quiet about others mistakes.

I've lost a huge amount of respect for Steve Young during this ordeal. I thought he was normally one of the more level headed analysts and he's been a total prick about this entire thing, his comments about Rivers having a big day yesterday before the game because we no longer have our "advantage" were inexcusable.

Wait a moment. What did he say? How did it make any sense?

What BB was busted for was stealing DEFENSIVE signals, and it's my understanding that Rivers plays offense.*

*Or at least attempts to.

Steve Young is a mormon and has always behaved as such on the air. He's honest, consistent and willing to stick his neck out there to criticize those he feels deserve it. Don't get hostile towards him over that.

Did Emmitt hear that the coach of two of his three Super Bowls admitted to doing the same thing as Belichick and more?

Didn't Emmitt's former coach also admit to having done this same thing at some point in his career? When will he say that JJ should have been suspended for a time?

I don't think anyone is criticizing him for being Mormon, just for being more of a lemming than expected. Although I appreciate his taking an "ethical stance", his responses are not very original, and often disappointingly conventional.

2 of my best friends were raised Mormon, I'm fine with him having a moral objection but his comments like "Rivers will have a career day because the Pats no longer have their advantage" are freakin ridiculous, especially considering we were taping the defensive signals.

Who got mad at him for being a Mormon? No need to bring religion into this. Or race, or anything other that what Young actually said.

Someone is annoyed because Young said Rivers should have a big day now that the Pats will not be able to cheat during games.

He may be honest but he is consistently stupid:

1) Even Goodell noted that the Pats did not gain an advantage for the game they were taping.

2) The Pats were studying DEFENSIVE signals, so as to give our offense an advantage over the opponent's defense. Does Rivers paly DB?

So he stated his opinion, based it upon a false assumption, and got his ass handed to him. That doesn't mean he'd been a 'prick'.

If you're referring to his pregame QB picks on the "Young and Restless" segment where he said Rivers would have a big day, I thought it was pretty obvious he was being sarcastic.

The poster called him a "total prick". I noted his religion, his consistency and his honesty. I consider that valid. If you don't, that's your choice.

Are you trying to say that Mormans are honest because of their religion? I believe that is what you're trying to say. Should I post examples of where that falls on its face?

I don't care if you post examples of Brigham Young lying to the Pope.

He is a tool.

You didn't answer the question. Are you saying that he's honest because he's a Mormon? You raised the question. Is that your statement?

Nobody is naive enough believe that the only cheating that was done by the Pats was to tape defensive signals. Where this is smoke, there is fire. There's likely a whole lot more. It just hasn't been made public yet.

Why are you still here? Your ass kicking last night not enough to shut you up?

You are clearly naive enough to believe this so-called "cheating" was a. only done by us and b. the reason we are the best team in the NFL.

Go wring your hands over your loser team. There's plenty for you to be worried about....no need to concern yourself with us.
