. . . just posted a three-round 2008 Mock Draft.

Of course, the Pats' picks seem rather, ahem, interesting (and note the numbers, BTW):

23. Aqib Talib (junior), CB, Kansas
28. Jasper Brinkley, ILB, South Carolina
60. DJ Hall, WR, Alabama
87.* Shawn Crable, OLB, Michigan
92. Doug Legursky, C, Marshall

*Yes, for some inexplicable reason, these geniuses have the Pats holding San Francisco's third-rounder, not Oakland's. [They also have the final five being NE - NO - BAL - DAL - IND. ]

Brinkley could be the next big thing at ILB, and might actually break the "no LBs in the first round" rule. This kid has the tools to dominate. But do they really think SF is going to be drafting in the #23 hole?

I seen him in a few games and he can really lay the lumber, ideal SILB IMO.

Still I can't help but laugh at the phrase "no LBs in the first round", how about "no LBs on day 1" or "no LBs period" because we only draft DE/OLB projects.

I fully expect a TE and G to be taken in 08 but still secretly wish for a CB and LB....

They were fully planning on taking Bradley had he fallen to them in the 3rd round after they couldn't pull off a trade to get him.

I like the Brinkley pick. However, I question the Talib pick. I also question the Hall pick and the Legursky pick. The Pats shouldn't need another center. And I find it unlikely that they will draft another early round WR.

But, I agree that someone had way too much time on their hands.

It's back . . . and now it's up to FOUR rounds. At least the picks are in a slightly more defensible order (now they have SD d. NO in the Super Bowl):

25 (from SF). Dan Connor, ILB, Penn State
30 . Malcolm Jenkins, CB, Ohio State
62. Shawn Crable, OLB, Michigan
67 (from OAK). Tom Zbikowski, S, Notre Dame
94. Jamaal Charles, RB, Texas
126. Peyton Hillis, FB, Arkansas

This guy has way too many people coming out early, imho. First Talib and now Jenkins...

Also, I downt the Pats draft Zbikowski...
