That BB had no confidence in the D for a Reason. Teddy, the defense has been sub-par for several years now, remember the last playoff game in Indy?
Hanson could have put the ball at the one and Manning would have them in the endzone with about 30 seconds to spare. I have no problem with BB's call but I do have a problem with the wasted time outs which also helped in their demise.

if brady saw welker wide open on that 4th and 2 this would be a non issue.

They didn't exactly have to make some highlight reel move to get the ball

Why does everyone keep saying BB had no confidence in the D???? Did i miss him saying that in the presser?????

It seems to me, that BB simply felt his HOF QB, and offense full of studs could pick up a lousy 2 yards on 2 downs. As someone else pointed out, if you watch the replay, Welker was beyond the marker, and open. His coverage was behind him by 2 yards. He was open enough, and wouldve easily had the 1st. BB had confidence in his offense to execute a lousy 2 yard pass, and they blew it. Non of this had anything to do with the defense. The D played ok, and will keep improving, but they were going against Manning in clutch time. Guys like him WILL score when they need it that badly.
