The Jets are in New England to play the Patriots at 4 p.m. today, but players didn't get a great night's sleep. Safety Kerry Rhodes Tweeted, "you know we are playing new england when in the middle of the night when u r sleep somebody pulls a fire alarm to wake u up!! wow!!" And Dustin Keller added around 2 a.m., "So much for a good nights sleep..the alarm just went off in our teams hotel hahaha grown men walking around the hallway in their draws haha." ProFootballTalk points out it's "apparently a frequent problem for teams that play New England; the Bills were also awakened by a fire alarm the night before they played the Patriots this season."

I have never heard about this before. Was anything ever found out about the bills fire alarm issues?

The Jets subsequently announced that it was work ongoing at the hotel that inadvertantly set off the alarm.

The Pats aren't like Polian & Co. piping in artificial crowd noise into the stadium.

I did not know that, about the work going on. Also love the cheap shot high quality there. I didn't come in here saying anything like sleepgate did I? I was simply trying to get more information about something I just learned about from people that I would think would that that information.

Maybe instead of Tweeting they should have just tried to get back to sleep.

If they were staying at the Sheraton Four Points, then they are continuously doing work there. That is the training center for FM GLOBAL, the largest private commercial insurance company in the world.

Put away your conspiracy theories. Workers at the hotel were sandblasting and some sand clogged the filter of an alarm, which caused it to go off.

Again, why would the Pats fans have any information on it? The only time it was mentioned was during the game and then afterwards by Yahoo. Are you really that oblivious to think that Pats fans are omniscient enough to know what happened at another team's hotel when no one on here had mentioned it previously?

Again, you only needed to go to one source.. The Bills pages.. Sorry that you couldn't figure that out.
