why? and why do you put fans in quotes? he turned his back on us

I wouldn't go so far as to say he turned his back on us. He put his career ahead of the team's success somewhat by prefering to get traded rather than play all year and risk not getting a new deal with the possibility of no football next year. I can't really fault him for that. He came in here in 2007 and took a small deal. He blew up and had bigger offers the next year, but he took a smaller deal to stay with the Pats. With no CBA and the potential for no football next year, he saw himself in a bit of a bind. He COULD have held out like many players did, but he didn't. He came to every practice and work out and was a leader on the team. Unfortunately, NE wasn't going to give him a new deal so he wanted to play somewhere else where they might give him a new deal.
Both Belichick and Moss say they parted on good terms and have nothing but respect for each other.
Who cares after that? If Brady comes out and says "Moss sucks" ok, then maybe there's a reason to boo him, but seeing as how every member of the Patriots organization is praising him, he better be cheered!
