The prevailing notion among the mediots is that the snow will stop us. But remember the snow bowl? We couldn't get anything going till Weiss went with a hurry up spread offense. Most of the completions were to Wiggens and Brown. Brady thrived on it then, and he thrives on it even more now.

So you're saying that because 6 years ago the Patriots were able to score 16 points in the snow with an entirely different WR corps and OC that this year's team will be able to go on scoring 38+ points a game regardless of the snow?

It makes no sense. I think the Patriots can win in the snow no problem but it's asinine to expect that inclement weather and the resulting poor footing wouldn't temper their offensive production through the air at least, you know, a tad.

It would slow both teams. So instead of winning 38-14 we will win 28-3

Big deal.

Exactly! We know Tom Brady does well in snow and I'll bet deep threat WR's like Moss would have a blast playing in snow. We know what kind of fun these guys have playing together. Can you see them throwing the ball all over the place in a snowstorm?? I can!! They'd look like little kids out there they'd be having so much fun. Remember it's the defense most hampered by bad footing because they have to react to what the offense is doing and are much more prone to slipping and falling because they can't set their feet as easily. The offense knows where they're trying to run to and it's easier for them. Snow games are perfect for guys like Welker, Kyle Brady, Heath Evans, Faulk and I'm more than comfortable shortening the field and putting the ball in the sure hands of Gaffney, Stallworth, etc.
Be a fun game to watch!

snow games are good for players like dillon, and jones . we need a running game. lets see what maroney can do!!!!!!! i need to know

I just don't want it to snow against the Jets, I don't want anything to ruin the savage beating we're going to lay on them.

The offense has the advantage of knowing where the play is going. Moss doing a double move in the snow? I'll take that.

I like this myth.

Seems to me Eckel and Evans would be effective "snow" ballers. Much like Old Mosi Tatupo was....

isn't too early to expect the 'right weather' ? now it is tuesday and the game is sunday

isn't it too much time ?

Once again it comes down to wind. Even if it's heavy snow they can keep the field ( field turf now) in decent shape to play on, during time outs.

But if it's a NE'er with wind gusts, that could change the whole complexion of the game.

It's okay, Mark Henderson is on stand-by to drive the plow again.
