SNF telecast halftime had a major Drake Maye puff piece, followed by a quick NE Patriots report predicting the playoffs.

I think it's become evident to most of the nfl heads watching that Drake is for real and the things he's doing on the reg is pretty damn rare for a 23 year old.

The kid is special and he's starting to get his due.

Hopefully the start of a HOF career, he has every chance and talent in the world to make it so.

Not anything particularly insightful but they put a brief segment with him and Baker highlights. Two MVP candidates.

The next 3 weeks should give us a better idea of the possible playoff teams. I think the noise for the Pats as a possible AFC contender will get loud if they win the next 3 games putting them at 7-2.

With all due caveats, here’s what really amazes me.

Against Buffalo, running away from trouble and finding receivers from impossible angles on the move, he reminded me of a vintage Mahomes. Against New Orleans, stepping up in the pocket to avoid trouble but keeping his stance and composure, he reminded me of a vintage Brady. What an insane skillset for a 23-year-old.

He had nothing good to say about Maye during the draft and last year, now all of sudden he's gonna hop on the bandwagon, screw off.

It's the NFL's version of this because of the referee debacle they dealt with today.

McCourty was the one predicting playoffs -- "The Patriots are back!" So might want to consider the source on that part of it.

Was McCourty on there? All I saw was the tight faux leather skirt the other half of their team was wearing….

I thought the first mention of playoffs came from her and McCourty responded by saying “the Patriots are back”. But I will confess to being somewhat distracted by his broadcast partner’s undercarriage…. Lol.

It's the NFL's version of this because of the referee debacle they dealt with today.

I figured they were responding to the last three games, especially last week, by over inflating the tires on the bandwagon.

Seems to be a sign the Patriots are being welcomed back into the dance.
