From his continuing the line of insanity, it would seem she has zilcho muscle at ESPN.

Exactly as I predicted in the last thread on this topic. Ombudsman in today's media are there simply as ornaments - things to be pointed at as "evidence" of their objectivity when their obvious bias is challenged.

Even when they are allowed to say anything beyond milquetoast comments, they are buried way back in the back pages, where a critical reader will never stumble across them. When the NYTimes's "public editor's" many criticisms of the factual content of Paul Krugman articles appear in the same space the lies were told, then I will start believing that there is any integrity at all in the mainstream media.

I'm not sure why exactly ESPN.com has an ombudsman at all. It's not like there is any real journalism going there to begin with.

It was a damn good shot! Upon first reading it, it looks like he's making a pseudo-"no comment" on the whole thing, but after reading it again it's obvious he's saying "Gregg is out of his effing mind!" without actually saying those words.

I bet Easterbrook is pissed at him. Good!
