SI.com: Midseason predictions

That'll be a tough game, but I guess that's the only way Gooddell will get the results he wants, if we have to face all 4 teams at once ;-)

Penalty on the defense - 44 men on the field - penalty is DECLINED by Commissioner Goodell. Result of the play is a turnover on downs!

NE vs Seattle was my preseason pick. I still see a lot of people picking Minnesota, which I find baffling. I wasn't impressed with them even when they were 5-0.

NE vs Dallas would be interesting. Can you imagine the ratings?

That would be a great match up!!!!! Would captivate the entire country.

Our Offense would shred their defense, but going up against that O-line and their running game would be really challenging.

"/" = "or"

Am I the only one who gave up part-way through because every single writeup started out the same way (paraphrasing): 'well my preseason predictions were a dumpster fire but..' I mean, I'd excuse it because the NFC has been all over the place but how many people said 'I picked Pittsburg but...'??? This Pats team was a beast heading into the season, nothing has changed and yet it seems very few of these jokers picked them from day one.

Plus the guy that has Oakland as the #3 seed and Denver #4. Ummmmmm.........what?

Technically, we'd still only facing one team when you take in account that we'd only be facing the good players from SEA & MIN. None of the DEF players on either GB or DAL would make would make it if there were one roster.

I think the a healthy Pats team playing the AFC championship game in NE in January will mean the Patriots make it to the Super Bowl.

From the NFC I'm not sure which team I would fear and thats because they all seem incomplete in some way.

I suppose Dallas would concern me most because they have the best O-Line in the NFL and they can attack in the run game and through the air with a premier WR and both QBs are mobile. The fact they have a strong run game would mean they could bleed the clock and limit the time Brady is on the field. I don't know what the Cowboy's defence is like this season, anyone seen much of them?

Green Bay has no running game but AR last Sunday looked back to his lazer accurate like form.

Atlanta could put up a lot of points and have a premier WR in Julio Jones and a decent dual running attack.

Seattle aren't as fearsome as when we beat them in the Super Bowl a couple of years ago. Wilson is not at full health and they have a weak O-line and no Beast Mode.

I think Minnesota will continue fall away after their strong start.

Our curse AKA the Giants might not even make the play-offs.

TL;DR: The Cowboys are the worst match up for the Patriots but one that we would probably be favoured in at NRG Stadium in Houston in February.

Yeah its all pointless if Gronk goes down next week I would pretty much kiss the super bowl goodbye. Our average Defense certainly won't be carrying us to the promise land. We need Brady, Gronk and Edelman .. I hate to say this but Blount too. We have no power back option without LG.
