Anyways, I just read some KC Boards and appearently the fans aren't happy with Thigpen's arm this camp, it was variably described as weak and inaccurate. So I will amend "sort of surprised" to your "not surprised." Gutierrez looks to have an even chance to claim #3.

He might have been brought in for his arm and his knowldge of the Patriot way.

Scott wasn't hired by the Chiefs just to evaluate personnel, but to also bring the Patriots way of doing business to KC. The more ex-Pats he has in the lockerroom to explain and advocate that system the easier it is for him to implement that.
