The Giants’ motives in signing those two QBs could be either:

- a smokescreen to make it look like they’re not interested in drafting Sanders so he falls to them at 3
- to insulate themselves in case the Browns get Sanders before they can
or
- they’re just flat out not interested in Sanders at 3 or at all

It feels like Carter and Hunter are both too good to pass up but QB-needy teams do desperate things, it’ll be interesting to see how it unfolds.

I agree 100 percent conventional wisdom says take the player with the most upside but QBs make teams do crazy things.
Question is what message is the owner sending?
