Semi-OT: NFL cracking down on film analysis

From Taylor Kyles. Dan Orlovsky posted something similar a week or two ago.

Yet another company too blind to realize that the 15 people who will sign up for your premium service is VASTLY outweighed by the millions in interest in your main product thanks to creators like these.

I mean, we're 20 years into this thing now, the evidence is clear. The free advertising you get from leaving these creators alone is vastly outweighed money-wise from the pennies you'll get from the 15 people who will sign up for your premium service. How many of these premium services need to go under as a result due to lack of interest.

Well it won't impact PFF any, pretty obvious they never analyze any film

“I have a great idea! If the home team doesn’t sell out the stadium, then the local market won’t be able to watch the free TV broadcast. That’ll force the fans to buy tickets! Genius!”

i wonder if Nebbish had anything to do with this... he's on the Digital Media committee ...

Will Lazar be able to post his after further review clips?

NFL coming out with their own premium subscription based all-22 in 5, 4, 3, 2....

He works officially for the team and league, so you'll continue to see his film analysis.

Edit: There's also the gambling angle. If only sanctioned employees can post videos, then nobody can post videos showing irregular officiating and potential gambling implications.

So Bedard's not going to be able to post his game film analysis on BSJ?
