Who do we get?

Its the 2007 schedule.

My guess is one of PIT/KC/DAL/NYG.

Oh boi. We play the eagles again next year

The browns could be a dark horse for the season opener on a Sunday night or Thursday night. If they go cross conference Dallas would be pretty cool

Not sure if the browns are even a home game

Probably Dallas since Pittsburg will probably suck next year losing Bell and Brown.

Browns are a home game, but I can't imagine the NFL having them be the showcase team at this point.

I also don't think they'd want to waste the KC rematch so early.

Personally I think it'll be the Steelers again. Even though they didn't make the playoffs this year, this is always a compelling matchup.

Home opponents this year:
Jete
Dolphins
Bills
Chiefs
Steelers
Browns
Cowboys
Giants

We should play Miami so that Flores can get a round of appreciation before officially becoming the enemy.

As I said somewhere else.. please for the love of god give us the KC matchup for once in November or December. We often look like trash against them because to defend that Reid offense you have to communicate on a high level and be on the same page. Which early in the season will most probably not be the case for us.

If we end up in the SNF slot I would not be surprised about an opener against the Cowboys (or Miami with so much of the staff moving over with Flores).

My money is on either Dallas or Pittsburgh! It would be a ratings bonanza with the Pats vs either the Cowgirls or Stillers on opening day!

Very tough schedule next season:

Home: Giants, Cowboys, Chiefs, Steelers, Browns, AFC East.

Road: Eagles, Ravens, Bengals, Redskins, Texans, AFC East.

Bolded will be the five toughest games imo. But we won't know much until the draft & FA is over.

It's really difficult to say how tough some of those games are going to be outside of the Chiefs right now. We don't know what our roster is going to look like. If Gronk, McCourty twins, and Flowers come back, I like our chances against pretty much all those teams except perhaps the Chiefs.

The Giants could be an interesting opening day match up...if Eli returns.

I think the Ravens on the road will be a tougher game than Pitt at home.
