umm punishment? wth are you talking about?

go learn some science, temperature changes affect ball pressure, everyone knows that!

/nfl explanation

Yep, it'll be a total non-story...kinda like it already is outside of New England.

K-balls not handled by team

When winter comes and temps are real low, the Patriots should start filing official grievances against their opponents with the NFL front office.. just to force Goodell to have to get into a microphone and answer questions, trying to squirm around having to say that they determined there was no violation of the rule because the drop in PSI was due to natural causes

1) K-balls are not handled by the team
2) The last thing a kicker would want is an underinflated ball

This is little more than a trick of the lighting. Actually, the kickoff looks light the natural deformation of the ball at the moment of impact. The other picture shows nothing significant.

kicking an under inflated ball would be like dribbling a water logged basket ball, there would be no bounce off the foot resulting in INCREDIBLY short punts.

Nobody cares. Hell, I don't even care. But, if you do, you should try to get it trending on Twitter and blow up Schefter's mentions with it.

That would be great. Better yet, when the Patriots get a turnover in a cold weather game they should measure the psi of the opponents football themselves. When they see the ball is under 12.5 they should demand that the nyjfl launch a multi-million dollar investigation and then punish the other team

I'm thinking that the 12/24 game against the jets would be a good time to do this. There should be plenty of opportunity to get turnovers

No, because doing that is in violation of the rules. When the Colts stuck a needle in that ball in the AFCCG, they broke the rules but were punished (surprise surprise).

seems to me that people like stewing in their own bile

Who cares who handled the balls the point is games are being played with underinflated balls and no one cares. It's not the first time and won't be the last. But I guess maybe TB is responsible this time too.

Except the balls in question in this post are NOT UNDERINFLATED those are just regular balls are regular inflation.

This is the Ben rothlisberger phone on the sideline nonsense all over again.
