What it comes down to, for me, is that I'd rather have Edelman than Slater.
Edelman's a better receiver, a better defender & a better returner;
Slater's a better...tackler of people who've already returned a kick 25+ yds.

Meaning that if the almighty Matty Slater wasn't on the STs of the NEP,
every punt would be returned against us for TDs?

Probably not, but without Slater our punt coverage would be downgraded severely.

There's a reason a guy who virtually only plays ST's has made this team the last few seasons, and just got a 3 year extension.
