Ask a fanbase who has had incompetent ownership how that goes. There's a reason that since the 2000's Kraft, Mara, Rooney, Bisciotti, Bowlen, and Hunt have had the most successful franchises and why people like Spanos, Snyder, Haslam, Woody, etc all found ways to torpedo anything good they ever had.
Since 2000 the Pats had BB.

Coincidence?

Crazy. We’ve now gone from Tom v Bill to Bill v Kraft. I can’t wait to watch the forum be flooded with stupid ass arguments that have been rehashed a million times in every single thread. Exciting times ahead!

Enjoy your next phase................
thank you, I enjoy tennis not this new thing called Pickel Ball.

Those owners are patient and give their coaches time. RK gave the GOAT coach two seasons considering we made the playoffs in 2021.
Crazy to think Kraft became delusional and thinks he belongs in the superbowl every year like most of these fans around here. Age worked against Bill, as it is against Robert. He’s thinking he deserves one more Super Bowl before the dirt nap …

I think it is safe to say that Belichick would never have traded a first round pick and paid $22 million a year for Tyreek Hill.

You can argue that he overpaid for guys like Agholor, but his entire contract was $22 million. Belichick was willing to pay top dollar #2 and #3 quality WRs not #1s.
Bottom line there’s not enough value in high priced wr. Too much money invested in one player that touches the ball at best 8 times a game. One injury and it catapults the rest of the team. Bill played the odds of attrition for years and for the most part won. Good teams are built 1-53 plus practice squad. Better to have a boatload of B players than 2 or 3 A+ Prima Donna’s

In a sense, an all-world TE is the best thing you could have for a team. Just look at Kelce and compare him to let's say Diggs. Not that Diggs is a bad player and wasn't worth the deal, but since Diggs signed in Buffalo he and Kelce have produced approximately the same amount of yards and TDs. But Kelce earns like $10m less than Diggs - money that can go elsewhere on the roster. That's why the Chiefs were able to win last year without Hill and why Gronk was so valuable for Dynasty 2.0.

Yes I agree, plus they block !!! And as the game has de-evolved over the years, wr have become way less physical. The game has so drastically changed to a mid 80s CFL track meet with an extra down.

This is the 4th year of the rebuild. The final pieces this team needs would have come in over the next year. We've had 4 straight good drafts. That's a good foundation.
I actually think it's the 3rd year because 2020 they were stuck with a lot of the old contracts, and the following year players like Hightower, Chung, Van Noy, came back. Hardly any free agents were signed for 2020. That was a bareboned crew--lucky to win 6.
