Brady is at the top of the list. 4 picks, one a pick six that drove a stake in the heart of any comeback chances. Yeah, tipped balls a lot, WR's get muscled off routes, but Brady had a flat out back game. There were a lot of open guys running around out there that he flat out missed.

Brady
BOB
McCourty
Whoever decided to cut Meriweather and Sanders

There are your 4 biggest scapegoats for this past game.

No, those are YOUR 4 biggest scapegoats and basically three of them are just your way of pointing the finger back at Bill which is all you've been able to contribute since the day he shipped Seymour to the Black Hole...

I don't know that I'd put Brady at the top, but there's plenty of blame pie to go around, and those four people each earned a nice big slice of it.

Expect to see more of this if they can't committ to running the ball and maintain Time of Possession.

Coaching staff and Brady have swollen heads and in its 2011 incarnation (going on since 2007) this is not PS Madden '12 they are playing in and think they can pass at will for 400+ yards everygame. If that is their gameplan for this season then they deserved every bit of reality pill they got yesterday.

He lucked out last year with 4 int's. Avg of Brady's 9 years full time QBng, 2001-2010(excluding 2008) is 533 Pass Attempts and 11.44 INT's.

This team is on pace for 709 pass attempts, which would be 217 more than last year, and blows away 601 attempts from 2002 season when Brady threw 14int's

Are people forgetting that Brady put together a game tying drive, with 2 fourth down conversions? He overcame a god awful game to put us in a position to go to overtime. You gotta give him a little bit of credit there. The D just couldn't shut the Bills down.

Bit of a chicken-and-egg argument there: the D wouldn't have been in that position if Tom's INTs hadn't hung them out to dry.

Brady threw four picks, but one bounced off a helmet and one bounced off Welker's hands...not necessarily blaming Wes, but there was a bit of bad luck involved in those two in my opinion. And, as has been pointed out, Brady did drive them for the tying touchdown...and would have had it at about the 8 minute mark had Ocho not dropped that pass.

I also think that PI call on the safety (Brown, I think) was not a good call. The mantra you hear all the time from announcers is when the DB has his back turned to the QB and the receiver stops and comes back, its PI. Brown had turned on the ball BEFORE the receiver had (according to my view of the replay on tv...if someone has tivo'd it and I am wrong, then correct me but I don't think I am)and was facing the QB when he got tangled up with the receiver. I think you can argue pretty well that it was Brown who was interfered with or at least, it was inadvertant contact and should not have been flagged.

But, I agree, otherwise, there didn't seem to be alot of help for the CBs from the safeties. and I also agree, the playcalling was a bit dubious...I don't understand why Edelman is in the backfield when BJGE is getting all of 5 carries a game.

Only if your view lacks all perspective. 4 picks sucks, but two of them were tipped balls and one was a poor choice (of target...) and the last one was as likely a miscommunication as Brady suddenly making a horrendous throw... Brady had an excellent game save QB's get blamed for INTS and others miscues regardless... Who did he flat out miss who was open?? He was 30 of 45 (67%) less 4 picks so 30 of 41 throws...or roughly a 70+% completion rate. Branch was targeted 3 times with no catches and Ocho 4 times with 2 catches (and not a thing Brady could do about the ones he missed), Edelman 5 times with 2 catches, and he didn't miss an opportunity to target Welker or Gronkowski who have earned his trust even when they don't appear to be open...which are the kind of throws you have to make to be a championship caliber QB in this league... Penalties and poor individual performances hurt us every bit as much as the flukie picks yesterday. Without 8 penalties we likely win the game... Two of them were offensive drive killers and two of them were defensive drive extenders and one of them negated a late game pick and directly led to the game tying score. I really don't know what some of you think you see where Brady is concerned because if anything goes wrong you act as if he's schitzophrenic...

I blame BOB/BB more than I blame Brady. Anytime you put that much weight on one person's shoulders he is bound to make mistakes. Tom is just so good that he rarely has games like this, and it took some lucky bounces to occur at that. Hopefully there are lessons learned from this but given that we've continuosly fallen in love with this pass happy offense and failed when it matters over and over, I'm not the most confident we will learn.

Look, Brady lost the game; that is simple enough to see. But he basically wins every single game for us and that is what people are riled up about. The game highlighted just how terrible our defense really is. We know Brady won't throw 4 picks every game but what is going on with that defense? How are they going to fix that?

The PI and the RoP penalties at the end were complete crap Love as stopping and cause they are the same height the touch masks the Pi call brown was hands up trying to get out of the way then the WR reached around him to get the call.

As for Brady he trusts Gronk which is why one Int went there he had throw that same pass and same route 3 (at least) times in the game before that and completed everyone of them 2 tipped ints and and third off of Woodheads (not welker like everyone thinks) hands that the DB made a nice dive for.

That game was the one or two games they have every year where the other team jsut wants it more and more. I am sick of this board looking for scapegoats and not just calling it like it is. If this team is as bad as everyone is acting they should have lost by more then 3 points when they have 4 turnovers.

Yes this team as holes like every team does and it was a horrid injury week on top of everything else. As for te lack of running game that will change as anyone who as played the game at any level would know pass blocking is much easier to do and learn assignments as opposed to run blocking and we are playing with over have a new Oline and still didn't give up a sack.

So how about instead of hunting for scapegoats and why this team can't be 16-0 how about we look at what can be learned and what hte team did well out there

The problem with BOB, he doesn't run the ball more. I would like to see more of a run game, we had 4 on the bench.

I started the Edelman thread. Don't see him as a scapegoat for yesterday's game; I just see him as having no upside in the offense. Wish they would use Slater; at least he adds a deep threat.

Ochocinco will be fine by the end of the season.

Coaching staff called a great game all-around yesterday.

I think you have no upside with your short sighted blame game.
Take your Edelman hate somewhere else The lions share of bad play goes to Brady. He gambled and lossed on to many plays. I think we should be clamering to have Welker voted Offensive player of the week!!! What a game he had.

every body knows that refs hates pats

Branch was drawing double coverage... Edleman was getting stuffed coming out of the backfield...expanding on his versatility I guess... Unfortunately there was a safety in the picture when Fitz threw that mindnumbing duck INT that would have killed Buffalo's comeback and sealed the game... He played like a STer...oblivious to the fact that the WR he was covering was bound to hit the breaks rather than run out of the back of the EZ...

Edelman only ran twice. Once he picked up 5 yards to pick up a 1st down, the other he lost 2 yards. Not really conclusive one way or another.

I'm also not sure who you're referring to as an STer. Did you mean Brown, who got the PI call in the end zone on Barrett's TD? If so, then yeah, I agree, though Barrett played a pretty mediocre game as well.

Hey! We haven't beat up on Ernie Adams yet have we? Let's do that. He's never been singled out before. To the stake with him!
