Closest I could get for free an without cancellation penalties. I am sure there are rooms closer, but I need to save money for the big item: tickets. Houma is another option. Would that be better?

Being within an hour's drive of the stadium is good. My guess would be that most lodging any closer will be fairly expensive.

Flying to PNS then driving. I have 2 nieces in the city, so that works.

Have to hit the Shed BBQ in Ocean Something MS, right off I-10 on the way.
