Saints vs 49'ers Game

I don't know why... but this brings back those painful memories of that that ravens/patriots game in 2009.

lets just hope (once the pats beat the broncos), we don't pull a stinker vs teh ravens

The Raven's secondary is weak now. Ed Reed has neck issues, Carey Williams and Jimmy Smith can be beat, Ray Lewis is a liability in coverage. The only corner whose dangerous is Webb. The pass rush however is dangerous though the Chargers were able to neutralize it. Which bodes well if Mankins and Light play. OF course I'm still not looking past the Denver game.

It feels like the momentum has shifted a little bit.

Agree.

However, I thought the same about the Steelers secondary.

That can't happen. Teams are supposed to bench players with concussion like symptoms. Teams wouldn't ignore that rule especially in a playoff game.

This is true. The ommissioner would never stand for such a thing!

And all of the momentum back to the Saints

Really impressed with the 49ers discipline on D.

Brees can't count on those big plays over the top in this game.

**** Lebeau changed his zone scheme to a man to man defense which caught the Pats off guard. If we played them again I'm sure the team would be prepared for it. Also it didn't help that the defense couldn't get Pittsburgh off the field.

I disagree.

The 49'ers aren't going to go score for score, and they aren't going to try. They are going to play field position and complimentary football. The saints have to put together more than one scoring drive on this D before they take back the momentum.

Yeah, Lebeau never changes his defense (see last week). The Pats probably didn't even think the Steelers would change their defense because they never do even when the Pats burnt them time after time.

I can't remember the last time I saw a defense this aggressive in trying to strip the ball away from the opposing receivers. Brees keeps looking for the big play down the middle of the field but the 49ers are shutting it down. If the Saints want to win this game, they're going to have to be patient and keep checking it down. San Francisco will give them that all day.

saints are going to miss pierre thomas

Looked like a false start there...Maybe my eyes were just jumpy.

I don't know why the Saints keep running play action pass when they can't run the football.

Brees is ******* amazing.

wow looked like he caught it out of bounds. Hell of a throw.
