He's proven he can play, so much that I'm actually worried he may go in another direction at some point. It is $250 so if he's not resigned when his deal expires I'd be fairly annoyed.

No one is guaranteed long term unless you are Ladanian Tomlinson or now Adrian Peterson or Reggie Bush and even those guys are not in stone to retire with thier current team.

If you are looking 3-5 years down the road I would say probably he will be here unless the Patriots have a FA RB in the future who may be a better fit in years ahead.

The average life of an NFL player is 4 years - so take that as the standard career
