From the beginning of the season, the team is:
- 2 DL (- Siliga, - Vellano, - Buchanon, + Walker)
+1 LB (- Fleming, + Skinner, + Davis)
+1 Corner (+ Browner)
(- Thompkins, + Tyms)
Corner is really deep. DL is getting thin.
Buchannon was one of my draft binkies but he hasn't really developed like I thought he would. He easily set the edge in college but in the pros he kind of struggles at it despite his increase in size.
Very excited to see Tyms. Tyms and Dobson seem like true outside receivers.
Tyms reminds me of Randy Moss, without the 4.2 and the 42". As he got older, Randy's jumping ability seemed to decrease even more precipitously than his speed. Tyms can go up and get the ball. There are two things you can't teach, IMO--speed and catching ability. KT had decent speed, but his hands were average to below average.
I didn't expect Vellano or KT to make the roster headed into training camp now I'm surprised they're cut what a weird turn of events. I assume Vellano can't join the PS?

I thought Walker looked good in a small sample size last night. Maybe the team feels the same.
Vellano is eligible for the practice squad, under the new rules. However, only two players with the "extra eligibility" may be on the squad at a time, and currently Boyce and Bequette are filling those spots, so one would have to be promoted/cut for Vellano to be signed there. Would be surprised if they cut Boyce. Maybe they bring up Bequette since they IRed Buchanan, but that seems kind of redundant. So I would anticipate Vellano being a "shadow roster" member of sorts, assuming no other teams come calling for his services.
Agree with @ashley1992 before, I was surprised one of Kline or Devey wasn't cut instead. Figured to be little competition for them on waivers, full PS eligibility AFAIK, and several of the other O-linemen have such versatility that any individual loss of a guy could probably be mitigated by shuffling the line before we needed to insert a guy like Kline. But I guess these moves rarely ever go as we anticipate them to, do they?
I think it might be best for Easley to get IR'd ... he's really not contributing much and a red shirt year I think will be good for him physically and mentally of course. Amendola just get rid of him ... he's never going to get ahead of Wright or LaFell so what good is he. This team will win this year based on the run game ... less passes to go around which is good for Brady ... no need for 40+ passes a game. 30-35 passes should suffice if the run game is going.
why are there any regulations on practice squad? I say 10 players do whatever you want. if you want a 60 year old Favre and Mark Wahlburg on your PS **** it dude why not.
