Breaking New England Patriots Team News
I’ll take Chritian Wilkins if healthy.
Love to have him.. we struggled many times not getting off blocks in order for us to get to the next level we need a potent 4 man rush to affect the QB..

I’m pulling for Jam an SEC RB but do have to add the caveat that his weaknesses are very similar to Hendo’s…habit of not seeing holes /reading blocks well. That said, Bama’s o line was unusually inconsistent last year
Yes. The thinking is with a year of experience hendo will be better hard to imagine coming off a very productive rook season though for hendo.. but I Really think Jam is going to be coached up and have every opportunity to secure that 3rd RB spot.

Agreed… Landry, Ponder, Jacas, Swinson is an abundance of riches at OLB.

They still need the interior pressure of the edge suffers.
Agreed here.. coupled with the interior rush now your talking about a potential for a potent pass rush.. as I was also mentioning the secondary will lock teams down so it forces check downs and throws over the middle into coverage.

Wozzy call me too optimistic but I'll go on record now and predict our record.

Buffalo 1-1
Jets 2-0
Dolphins 2-0
Green Bay W
Denver L
Detroit W
Seattle W
LV W
Bears W
Kansas City W
Vikings W
Steelers W
Giants W
Jags L

Maybe Vrabel doesn't treasure the big clogger in the middle and wants everyone to pressure the pocket and let the LB take the middle.

Hutchins got hurt day one of a rookie half speed practice?

Yeah no.

11-5 would be an OUTSANDING season. Superbowl losing teams have historically had hard times during the following seasons. So even though the team has apparently improved over the off season, a harder SOS and having to deal with a 21-game season, which makes the off season shorter by 3-4 weeks vs most of their opponents. This is WHY teams that lose in the Superbowl often struggle the next.

Doesn't look to be an obvious win in your list outside of the Phins and Jets and both of those teams had excellent drafts and off seasons and will be much improved, as well as many others who drafted well ahead of us. For me, any more wins than 11 would be almost a result as shocking as last season's regular season record.

The object of this off season was to get better AND deeper, while maintaining cap discipline. On the surface, I think we did an OK job of doing that. It all depends of course on how the draft and some of the lesser-known FA's we added do. For the draft to be successful we need to have the top 3 become at least to have a regular role by October, and at least one other draftee joins them. 4 guys who look like they will become eventual starts is a must. Anything more is gravy. Missing the playoffs would be a big disappointment for me but not shocking. It's happened many times before.

I could see anything from 12 wins to 6. Wild swing year.

My only real concern if it’s a rougher year is local media spinning that to “see, Vrabel got lucky for a year and is no longer committed blahh blahh”.

I fully expect some regression next season and if it’s not a playoff year, it’s also not a bad year to have higher draft picks.
