Re: Roger Goodell Shouldbe forced ro resign

again, I hope this thread was a joke.

The blame is always on someone else here.
Go way then. If you don't like it why are you here ? Which is what I'll be asking about paying the NFL $300 next year thanks to Badell.

Re: Roger Goodell Shouldbe forced ro resign

It looks like the trolls and the usual suspects suspects like Danny Boy are the only ones who think that Goodell is being an honest broker in this
matter.

It also doesn't seem to matter to them that NFL office is leaking information in order to smear and defame the Patriots and Bill Belichick. And all this being done on the day of the premiere NFL game tonight.

LOL...me, some trolls and the rest of the NFL world! Including, but not limited to, owners, fans, writers, coaches, players etc.

Believe it or not, the whole world doesnt revolve around your Pats!

By the way....do you really think this was done by himself without the consent of the rest of the league?

Goodell should resign not only because of the punitive, unprecedented punishment he handed to this organization, but also because he has failed to solve the "thug problem" the NFL has. In fact, he's made the situation worse as every little arrest is now turned into a huge deal. Add these two black marks to the leaking of the video which is a downright disgrace, and also the lack of investigation into the apparent league wide practice of stealing signals.

Mr. Goodell resign now, you're destroying the NFL.

Lets put it this way...If the rest of the 31 owners agree that it was too harsh, he'll be forced to change it, or resign...does that sound right?

Anyone wanna give odds on that happening?

The question isn't whether Goodell will resign or not, the question is SHOULD Goodell resign.

I was OK with all of this until today. But with all the leaks and the tape release that had to be released for his office says he doesn't care if he further defame our team and our coach.

Costas never asked the Commish about the tape release, which show again that the media won't bite the had that feeds them.

Now it's being reported that the Jets may bring other "charges" against the Patriots. Another leak from a "hig NFL official" according to Andrea of NBC.

If Goodell is going to be an "honest broker" of this, he should tell Ratfink "OK bring your charges, but if we find them to be not true, then the Jets will lose a first round drft pick."

Do you think those charges would more forward?

But Goodell being a Jets homeboy, won't do that, even if he should.

Agreed ..100%

I'm not voting
simply because it is an idle wish.

But some of the owners ought to rally enough
to rein in THEIR rogue commissioner
... before he blows up The Game.

Maybe Goodell is involved in Las Vegas gambling against us? Or is he a Colts fan?

This witch hunt thing bothers me a lot. Ask for all tapes? Why? Is he going to coach the Colts?

I think that it could come to that. I think that most of us toward the end of the week were ready to accept he penalties and move on.

Yesterday though all the leaks and the tape came out and opened teh wound again and there was no need of it. He never mentioned the lack of security in his own office whcih means he doesn't care if this continues to hurt he game.

1. I hope that is not your real pic in you avitar. You look like an elf with a crooked spine.

2. Your sig pic is embarrassing.........its saying 'weather we cheat or not, we'll still kick your butt'.

When Goodell was starting out a few months ago, people around here were raving about how much they just loved his get tough attitude. My view, which can been seen clearly on that thread was that OBJECTIVELY we would like him when he was getting tough on other teams, but at some point down the road we would be b1tching and moaning when he turned his tough guy act on us.

Of course, I didn't think it would happen so soon.

As far as the 'leaks', the simple fact is that there are several other team owners in the competition committee that are looking to get a piece of us, and they are the ones leaking info and evidence.

The best thing to do right now is be thankful as hell if this is all that comes out of this mess because the Jets are going to start looking into other tactics that BB may have used which would be hard to explain away, like the radio frequencies.

Just be happy we won the game and lose all the conspiracy theories.

If the Pats continue to be unfairly scrutinized on this, I hope Kraft retaliates with an anti-trust lawsuit.

I don't think he should be forced to resign yet, but if he continues to push this thing after exacting a very stiff penalty (and probably duping the Pats into accepting it on the theory that the issue was over), then the owners should sit him down and tell him to knock it off. If he won't, then vote him out.
