Just thought I would post a Chargers comment from there forum on Rodney... It bothered me enough to sign up and respond...

As for Harrison, he's too old to be the dominant force he once was.

My reaction.

ROFL.... Really??? Merriman got "lights-out" from Harrison... He's still the dominant force he was in the days he played for the Chargers and he's still PISSED that they released him, so IF he plays, be prepared for him to hit hard and play hard...

we will find out on wed. I hope he will play and angry

Rodney was on 680 the Fan in Atlanta this morning. I only caught the last half of the interview. While not hearing anything about whether he'll play, the interviewers joked that Rodney sounded ready to play today as he spoke about the challenge of stopping the Chargers offense.

Fred McCurry, Harrison's old friend, was guest host and no doubt arranged the interview with Atlanta resident Rodney.

While it does not answer the question of when he plays, but its a good sign that he's doing interviews and sounds fired up.

Anyone have any idea or speculation on whether or not Rodney will be playing this weekend?

Michael Parente says this in his Woonsocket paper:

Harrison could play against San Diego

FOXBORO -- The New England Patriots will continue to monitor Rodney Harrison’s progress this week in hopes that their team leader on defense will be available for Sunday’s playoff game in San Diego.

"We’ll see," Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said Monday. "We’re just day-to-day. We got past the Jet game and now we’ll start working on next week. All I knew is what I told you last week, so we’ll see where we are."

Harrison missed this past weekend’s game against the Jets after spraining the medial collateral ligament in his left knee during the team’s season finale in Tennessee. The initial diagnosis indicated Harrison will miss 2-4 weeks, but the veteran safety could make it back in time to face the Chargers.

Another brilliant football mind

What's the over/under on the number of charger fans that come back here sunday night if they lose?
Zero.

Well, we know he is going to do everything he can to be on the field.

Rodney plays..I have NO doubt :singing:

(also - no info)

What Dyson did has zero relevance to Rodney's chances. The injuries were in the same area, but we have no idea how they compare otherwise (severity, recovery time, etc).

I have a feeling that Rodney will play (mostly based on the fact that he's giving interviews), but this is one thing about being a Patriots fan: you really have no idea what's happening with injuries. So, until game time, it's all a guess.

If Rodney was in Atlanta yesterday and not in Boston getting treatment etc, I'd guess that he'll not be playing on Sunday. Damn!!!

Clarification: Rodney was not in studio, it was a phone interview.
