One potential "out" for them is if:
A) the NFL finds no evidence to substantiate tampering by the team, and
B) they destroy the Seahawks

It's not a cure-all, but it'd demonstrate how it's less important (yes, it was raining in the AFC Championship game, but it's the appearance that counts with the general public).

Second, it would alter the storyline entering the offseason.

I hope Rodney's right.

I was just hoping for a good game in the Super Bowl after the Championship on Sunday. After a week of this vitriol I won't be satisfied with anything short of complete demolition of the Seahawks by four or more touchdowns and giant FU to the media.

I just will be happy when the football air threads start to get pushed down and the revenge and match-ups threads will float to the top again.

We are the best team in the AFC in 2014 and we are where we are supposed to be. Yes the tank may be empty after the long grind but we will shortly be pulling out from the 'gas station of revenge' so this teams tank is now over flowing....

The message this team hears all throughout the year will serve it well leading up to the SB. As a fan base we should not yearn for validation...we should never yearn for validation.

It will be a fun 10 days!!
