Rodney harrison reacts to moss trade

Cant believe this team is wasting away Brady's prime years to think about 3 to 4 years down the road.

This team has more weapons on offense for Brady than it has had in years with the additions of Edelman, Hernandez, and Gronkowski and you think that they are wasting Brady's prime years???

Sorry, but Rodney of all people disparaging Moss with talk about how "Belichick didn't win any superbowls with Moss" is sickening to read. Last I checked, it was Moss who caught the go ahead touchdown in the superbowl, and it was Rodney who got lazy and let a no name scrub catch a ball with his f'n helmet. Rodney has no right to be saying that when he's the reason they never won a superbowl with Moss.

That was my first thought too, minus the laziness part. I love Rodney, one of my favorite players of all time, but if he'd made a play that he should have made, Moss would have won a SB here. At the very least, that should be enough to keep him from bringing that up against Moss.

Are some of you guys talking about that great 2001 defense? The one that gave up 23 or more points 5 times in the first 10 games? I think people remember it fondly due to winning the SB and ultimately what it became in the following years. But that defense went through its growing pains too.

Who here is talking about the great 2001 defense? It was far from great, but it was still way better than this one. Wasn't one of Belichick's first comments after they won the SB something to the effect of "I can't believe we won it with these guys?" That team, as constructed, shouldn't have been good enough to win the SB. That pretty much sums up why it remains my favorite Patriots team, to be honest. It had no business winning, but it was consistently the best-coached, most innovative, and luckiest team in the league.

While that makes it an awesome team to root for when it happens, it's also not a very good blueprint. I'm not sure that making this team more "2001-esque" is a good thing. More 2004-esque, sure, but that 2004 defense was filthy.

Thanks mg! I was "trying" to make the same point several times today amid all the "boo-hoo, Randy's gone" bs. But you brought facts to back it up!

To all those teary-eyed over the loss of Randy....

F%#@ RANDY MOSS!!

Man, that felt good!

Man, you hurt my feelings!

Man, you hurt my feelings!

Ok, sorry man

Do I think he was a great receiver? Yes, one of the best all-time! But he's his own worst enemy and I'm pissed off at him because of that!

I don't see it guys. I hate thinking about or discussing that game but I have to say that it's hyperbole at best to say Rodney was at fault on that play.

And he's my all-time favorite Patriot, so as far as I'm concerned anything he has to say carries a lot of weight.

A large part of me still wishes we could have worked things out with Randy, tho.

Good point. You will have to forgive me for posting it in the wrong thread. There are so many with everyone saying much of the same thing it was easy to get lost and post in the wrong thread.

Rodney sure does make sense boy do I miss him...
