For anyone who missed it:

I’m not a big fan of The Scatback but I knew the ashtray thing was BS the moment I read it. It calls into question a lot about what was reported about the NFLPA ratings. This is exactly why I always caution people to question what they see in published reports.

Sad to see him now, it’s to be expected but the vitality is diminished. I hope he gets to see them succeed and that this HOF BS ends successfully as it should for him and all the Pats who have been deprived of the honor due to New England Derangement Syndrome

You know I actually thought Kraft was much more "with it" here than I have previously given him credit for. It was mostly pretty bland for the first half of the interview as the questions were very softball, so he was kind of giving the same sort of answers he has in the past. But in the second half - credit to the reporters there - he actually got some slightly more challenging questions, and he seemed to really respond well and give good detailed answers. It was clear he was very invested in what is going on with the team and is fully aware of all the situations and questions he was asked. So overall, I actually feel better about his status now than I did previously.

I also thought the portion where he talked about Parcells and calling him personally to ask if he'd accept a nomination into their HOF while they were both still alive very nice. It's clear that he respects Parcells greatly. The event ceremony should be great.

I can't help but wonder how much of Krafty Bob's seeming more 'with it' was a function of the time of day and his comfort level with the casual nature of the environment. One would think it being morning in a place where he's at ease may have helped quite a bit there.

I read through the transcript and felt it was very refreshing and more personal. He spoke more like a fan as opposed to owner. We should be thankful that we have Kraft as our owner . Looks like last 2 years really Infuriated Kraft. So both belichick and Mayo had a pretty testy relationship towards the end of their tenure. Not sure if the bridges can be rebuilt.

Wolf seems to be on notice. So lot of pressure this season to get it right.

Anyone hear Andrew Callahan's question about having ashtrays on the team plane? What is he talking about?

League survey of team accomodations for players had the Patriots rated very low and the planes were high on the complaint list with a rumor they are so outdated they still have ashtrays.

There was a comment from a player in the NFLPA survey that drew attention and snickers about the Pats planes being so out of date they had ashtrays in the seat armrests. OFC it was ********, the pics of the planes interiors are readily available and show no such thing. Just some malcontent spewing crap

And some lazy asswipe who covers the team not having the integrity to verify it themselves before putting it in their article

Sort of have to really put that on the NFLPA. I mean, that's definitely something you'd want to verify before publishing something like that, given that it goes out to every player in the league and they use it in making "informed" decisions about each franchise. Can't just take a guy's word for it.

Sadly any player seeing what the lying bastard put in his survey is 100% going to do just that
The union isn't going to score any points with the rank and file 'fact checking' their surveys. It's on the media to point out the inaccuracies

How can anyone dislike and criticize this man? He's done so much for the region and for the NFL. He's absolutely one of or THE best owner in the NFL. Be grateful, we are extremely lucky to have him.

Those surveys... not a fan. You really need to stay on top of it and make sure the clients customers players fill them out correctly. Leaving it to chance means the folks who hate you get their opportunity to have their hatred recognized. Better to coach up folks who will fill out the survey.

To be fair, Kraft acknowledged they really need to upgrade the planes, so there's something there. I think whoever first mentioned the ashtrays could have been joking with a light-hearted exaggeration to make a point. Of course many people then ran with it as fact and the story took a life of its own.

We talking about planes? Not the game. Not the game we love. We talking about planes.

He’s a billionaire…if he isn’t on a bespoke ****tail of goodies to enhance cognition, energy, and…vitality, he’s an idiot.

Barring dementia, there is no reason for cognitive decline if you have $$$.

Some amazing compounds on the market, not to mention badass bloodlabs that tell you a lot.
