One of the players to watch back in the 70's and 80's ... wasn't a great player but sure was entertaining.
He was truly an NBA good guy ... was like a WWF person on the court ... larger than life.

Yeah I remember those Celts - 76ers battles in the 1980s, including the Bird - Erving fight at the Garden, so I obviously developed a serious animosity toward them (& the LA Fakers, of course, which I always & forever will have), but Dawkins seemed like a genuinely nice guy who loved to play the game and who always had a smile on his face. Compare that to the gang-banging, hip-hopping, gangsta-rapping thugs of today who always wear a frown and act as if the game revolved around them.
