Hockey HoF'er Dale Hawerchuck passed away at 57 from stomach cancer. While he's largely remembered for his time in Winnipeg Bruins fans are more familiar with him from his 5 years with the Sabres. He was still a great player when he arrived in Buffalo and played the game the right way. He was a respected opponent with great puck sense and back when the corners were a far more dangerous place to be his possession battles with Bourque alone were worth the price of admission.
