Says we had the second best draft. Rick Gosselin's NFL Draft grades Trading down into the rounds with the most value--the second and third--and delaying gratification obviously works.

Who was first?

The other day I read this New York Times article lauding the Patriots' drafting strategy: In the Draft, Winners, Losers and the Patriots

It's this time of year I miss Will McDonough most especially.

Re: Did we just pass up on Randy Moss, again?

I wonder if people here will regret passing on the next Randy Moss.

We probably would. Let us know when it happens.

Moss: 6'4", 4.3 Forty
Bryant: 6'2", 4.5 Forty

Bryant should be a fine player. I'll bet a handful of other receivers in this class will as well. Moss was a transcendent talent. Calvin Johnson is that type of player. Bryant could be the next Andre Johnson if he reaches his max potential. Nothing wrong with that, but it is hardly a sure thing.

Some scouts had Moss running in the high 4.2's There is only 1 Randy Moss and 1 Jerry Rice. The rest are just excellent or very good wr's that are worth talking about.

I'd say Bryant's chances are good that he willbe excellent if he stays focused and keeps out of trouble. Then again you never know with Wr's. There bust potential is very high.

Regardless, I would of loved to see Bryant drafted by the Pats. He may have filled the void well when Moss leaves. Then again we are all under the assumption he is leaving and his contract isn't even up yet. So maybe just maybe we can sign him for another 3 years, that I would love to see.
