Rex Burkhead Hurt ?

I wouldn't count him out if there were no additional injury.

He could suddenly be a key guy in the offense in two weeks.

That was the knock on him when he got here -always injured. Unfortunately its still true.

Well, he's done nothing to dispute that knock since putting on the uniform. He's a weapon when he's healthy. He just rarely seems to actually be healthy.

Well that's just made up...

Burkhead played 2 straight 16 game seasons with the Bengals. He wasn't a guy with lots of injuries when he came over.

Amendola was hurt alot early in his Patriot's career. How's that coming along?

In 5 seasons as a Patriot, Amendola's only played a 16 game regular season once. Last year, he played 12 of 16 games. This year, he played 15 of 16.

The Edel sombody too.

He just missed an entire season. Last season, he played all 16 games. The season before, he played just 9.

I feel confident I could find someone here who thinks we should still cut Playoff Danny.

No question about, the people who were advocating it are posting with regularity.

I would like him back on a cheap extension, he hasn’t shown to be durable but he’s been a great weapon when healthy . If theres any silver lining, the injury riddled season with flashes of excellence should make him more retainable than if he were to have beasted year round.

As far as the sb, its hard to expect much. He hasnt had much real time action in months, sure there is lots of rust. Saw that with Mitchell in the afcc last year and Hogan this year has not been much of a factor since returning.

Gillislee would likely have contributed more than Burkhead did during the AFCC.

I would very, very seriously consider activating Gillislee instead of Burkhead for the SB. Attacking Philly's DEs with power is the most effective way to neutralize them.
You're assuming Gillislee is healthy. I'm not sure he is.

My assumption is that Burkhead and Gillislee are both at about the same state physically and which one of them is active for the SB will be strictly a coach's decision. I don't know how much more of a bruising runner Gillislee is versus Burkhead. The weight difference is only about 5 pounds and Gillislee has never made me think of Blount running the ball. Burkhead also has multiple skills (good receiver and special team player). I would hope BB drafts a big RB in 2018, especially since Burkhead is a free agent.
