Patriots coach Bill Belichick told his team that Tom Brady's left knee injury could be bad and to prepare for Matt Cassel to be the quarterback going forward, an NFL source told the Globe's Christopher L. Gasper tonight.

this is worth a separate thread....because many folks myself included consider PFW, ESPN, Herald, CBS etc rumor.

If Reiss says it-- it is fact.

The only thing I can say is that it sounds like even BB isn't sure: could be bad != is bad. Similarly, I'd like to know who this "NFL source" is.
