Shift from multiple TEs was significant - Patriots Blog - ESPN Boston

sometimes we try to be unpredictable to just to show that we are unpredictable. We had the same thing with weis but a lot more patient offense. this offense needs points in a hurry or gets frustrated like the 03/04 colts. They cant think themselves to play a patient ball control game and score pts in the RZ.

Re: Reiss:Shift from multiple TEs was significant

This team is WAY too reliant on the shotgun formation. It's not Belichick, it's O'Brien. Why do we pass 75% of the time out of the shot gun, as was shown on TV last night.

People under-estimate just how helpful it is for defensive DE's, CB's, and safeties to know that they don't have to worry about defending the run.

I multi TE set was working very well. The Saints were confused and Maroney was absolutely tearing them up. They had ball control and momentum on their side. Even despite the horrid pick they should of never left it.

This is the 3rd game in a row where the offense has become predictable in that shotgun after having early success mixing things up. Very dissapointing.
