Re: Reiss' 5 from Mini Camp

All valid points, and as the saying goes, it only takes one team to decide that someone's worth the pick.

I guess that I'm still bummed that, when the FO traded up in the 5th round, I expected them to draft either OG Roy Schuening, NT Ahtyba Rubin or even TE Kellen Davis. They were the best players available at those positions, all at which the Pats could use quality depth.

Hey, if Slater can average the 26 yards/KOR that Hobbs averaged, plus some STTs, and maybe a couple of FFs and/or FRs, then he'll be worth the cost of bypassing the above 3 players.

I'll try to be more patient from here on out, but the results of last year's draft has left a bad taste in my mouth regarding "under-the-radar", "developmental", "high-on-the-NEP's-unique-draft-board" types.

I have a good feeling about Vincent Redd I hope he can turn into a Adalius Thomas.
High Hopes if he can even make the team on special teams that be a huge plus!

Well, last year was an aberration (loads of late draft picks, many of which couldn't be traded, in a relatively weak draft, on a team already loaded with talent). Methinks you'll like this draft class better.

Nice that the back seven have looked good in coverage.

Of course, they are covering Matt Slater and Bubba Ventrone. Not sure how bad Duane Starks would look against those two.

I hope you're right and I'm wrong. I love eating the humble pie.

You coaxed an LOL from me with that line.
