Reiss: A few minutes with Vince Redd

He grew up in Elizabethton, TN so I can understand why he said this would be his first full winter. I moved from RI to Knoxville a few years ago and I'm experiencing my fifth "winter" in East TN. It can get cold, but not excruciatingly cold, and it doesn't last that long. I've only seen snow stick two or three times. Right now it's a "balmy" 50-something degrees outside. I don't think they have any plow trucks to speak of. Everything shuts down at a flurry.

I've visited milder climbs in winter and know whereof you speak, it's hilarious for folks from snow country watching how people react to a few flakes wandering in the breeze.

Yeah, you think the bread/eggs/milk runs are ridiculous in New England... it's out of control down here!

I'll bet the volunteer fire department has a lot of fun at all the chimney fires too.

Did Redd get snaps against Oakland?

Holy Moly, Vincent Redd is enormous. I always thought Richard Seymour was huge, but this Redd kid towers over everyone on the field. He's also thick, and he can move.

All the Bills fans around me at the game were wondering who the giant was on the Patriots kickoff team.

I didn't notice him at the Miami game I attended in Foxboro in September, but the TV doesn't do this kid justice.

You have to see him in person. He is a goliath out there.

6'6" 260 and runs like a deer.

Crikey! Let's hope he doesn't dash mindlessly in front of a car!

I saw Redd at camp. Tall, fast and LONG arms. Ted "Stork" Hendricks style. If his physical talent (unlike Chad Jackson, Hill, etc.) can translate into football ability he could be a freak.

We's gots lotsa younguns to watch next year. Couple other OLBs on the PS were just re-signed today. When does Training Camp open?

As long as the front crumple zone protects the occupants it will just be something for the insurance company to write-off.

I'm psyched with all those kids coming back for another camp.
