Yes, our OL play was awful.

Okorafor-Sow-Leverett-Robinson-Onwenu was awful.

1) That is NOT the status quo OL. Our status quo OL is
STARTERS: Lowe-Sow-Andrews-Onwenu-Okorafor.
BACKUPS: Wallace (OT)-Leverett (C/G)-Robinson(G)-Jordan(C/G)

2) Our status quo OL is our weakest unit, by far. But it is much better than what we played last night.

3) I agree that we should scour the waiver list and try to sign upgrades at LT, backup LT and backup center.

4) After we see what we have in a few days, we should sign whoever we need to sign.

I don't know the particulars on this Redundant guy but given where we're at, Sign The Beast?

Isn’t this well covered already in the cutdowns thread, preseason game thread, post preseason game thread, most other threads, and your 50 other OL threads? Literally scroll down to ‘Similar Threads’ right now as you read this and all 5 are your OL threads.

Maybe consider taking Sow out of the Starters Line Up? AT least until we learn more about the injury... He was spotted in a walking boot, so his availability is questionable at best... Healed in a week- to ten days? PUP? IR/Designated to return? all valid questions at this point... we might get an idea of the severity of the injury by 4 today when the team needs to get down to 53...

Kates tweet is silly because the “starting lineup” sucked from the beginning and Sow at guard is the best option unless he’s injured. Injuries have nothing to do with it except for the fact they can always go from bad to worse.

Robinson got shoved back in the QB’s face multiple times against Washington. He looked good against the 3’s and 4’s last week, against 1’s and 2’s not so much.

The line sucks because Wolf bumbled the tackle position. Now they’re just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

I'm going to throw up in my mouth after I say this but we Need First Rounder Cole Strange. How many games is he expected to miss??

Strange, by seasons end, if healthy, will be the teams 4th best OG behind Onwenu, Sow and Robinson.
perhaps Strange has a future at OC?

Strange was playing well before getting injured and really was struggling all year with the knee problem.
He would be a big add.

Great post! After digesting everything competent play on the line will calm everything. Another thing. Drake would help this line.. Jacoby gives nothing to it. Defenses know what he is. Drake is the unknown to DCs.

Blaming Wolfe is weak.

He could only do so much in the last draft. QB and WR had to be fixed and the the FA WR market was non existent. Polk looks like a keeper to me. He and Douglas are the beginnings of a young NE WR corps. 2024 is an evaluation season to find out who stays or goes moving forward.

This team is in transition and the end product will be Mayos Pats.

This season will be comprised of good football and bad football. Thats the way it goes.

The Pats will win games they shouldn't and lose games they should have won. The Pats are in a 3 year rebuild. Thats why they let Judon go.

Agreed. I'd like them to try to get off to a good start.. it would do so much for the overall good of the team.

Mayo channeling his inner Rick Pitino at next presser.....
