Doubtful. Dude doesn't care. Before last season “I don’t know if I will ever have as good of a season as (2016).” And he didn’t.

Then before this series talking with Ortiz, his disgust for struggling was very subdued he said “well as long as somone else is hitting then thats okay”.

He has not shown the attitude it takes to win, at least at the plate. The admirable part is he isn’t letting it affect his defensive play. Of course that’s strange enough in its own right.
