The Patriots may be in the market for a veteran of their own to provide depth behind Maroney and Kevin Faulk after Dillon's departure. Of the players set to be available, Sammy Morris, Correll Buckhalter and Najeh Davenport [not available-signed with Pittsburgh] might be good fits for the Patriots. Anthony Thomas is another back who could fill a role in New England.

Are they in the market, or aren't they? Your post leaves me wondering.

Sorry...that is an excerpt from a story that appeared on Scouts.com website today. The Patriots will look for someone and the question is who. Davenport was mentioned in the story but he signed with Pittsburgh late this afternoon.

The name I hear is Labrandon Toefield down in Jacksonville. He's a protype 'big' back who is moving back on their depth chart with the arrival of Drew and Taylor being re-signed.

I think we should find a RB in the draft....Kevin isn't getting any younger....Kill 2 birds with 1 stone...
