Since 2001, the Pats have had a few good/great ones... Faulk, Woodhead, Vereen, Lewis.

I rank them this way talent-wise:

1. Lewis... dude's like a video game character
2. Woodhead... Rudy the Rabbit!
3. Faulk... good talent, GREAT professionalism... conquered the fumble-itis that threatened to derail him.
4. Vereen... great pass catcher... decent runner.

And sentimentality-wise:

1. Faulk (3 rings... and a lot of huge plays)
2. Woodhead (it is still rough seeing this guy wearing a Bolt)
3. Lewis (only 8 weeks... a short-term-love affair LOL)
4. Vereen (always LIKED this guy... never CRAZY about him)

How about you?

P.S. Oh, and about Lewis's apparent replacement, White... one could make the argument he ranks about equal to Vereen talent-wise...

and we won a SB with Vereen.

Just sayin'...

I met faulk at a fundraiser once and he was just what you would expect from a professional. Down to earth and great with kids.

Your list is identical to mine. I put faulk in a similar category as Troy Brown. Reliable, clutch, fun to watch and great team guys.

Cant put Lewis over Faulk talent wise. Faulk was just too all around good and reliable at so many things. Elite ST player One of the best RB blockers in the game in his time. Great hands, good YAC. Incredibly clutch when things mattered.

Where Lewis is a bit better is open field YAC. He seems more explosive and elusive Bit better than Faulk there. But Lewis also has the advantage of having JE and RG on the team. You know "those guys" that teams key on since they are so good. That opens up a bit more for Lewis.

Lewis was on pace for a superb season but he only played 7 games. He is definitely the future of the franchise in that position but Faulk was the standard overall talent and clutch wise.

psssst..........I'm gonna let you in on a secret

James White? he's the best one yet......book it

Oh those other guys were pretty good too. I loved me some Woodhead but Dion was my favourite. I miss him.

Include receiving and Faulk was much better than Woodhead.
Lewis the best because he's a freak at RB.
