A - They did great, the running game was awesome and we were matchup proof
B - Overall pretty good. We were in 3rd in points for, 7th in years, 10th in passing yards and 9th in rushing yards
C - Average. We lacked weapons, our running game was good, but not great
D - Passing Game struggled, no red-zone threat, run game was overrated
F - This was an awful offense

PTS
27.8
(3rd)
YDS
384.5
(7th)
PASS YDS
255.4
(10th)
RUSH YDS
129.1
(9th)

IMHO, anyone who thinks that we had an average offense should be forced to watch a lot more of the rest of league as penance.

With Gronk- A
Without Gronk and having a balanced run game- B
Without Gronk and basically abandoning the run- C

Offense = B

Brady = C

gave the whole season a c+ horrible start, Pretty solid middle, fading at the end.

B+ overall, A with Gronk.

They were able to adapt to all the injuries on offense and deal with the growing pains of the young receivers.

Were the #1 offense during their short stint with Gronk IIRC

Without Brady F-, don't come close to making the playoffs.

I don't know if that's true.

I do know the value of a HOF QB is diminished when there's not a good WR/TE corps.

This offense was pretty well a C for me. There's some very good pieces there, but we certainly don't currently have the right support for our blue chip piece.

Most saw a guy at QB who worked harder than most other seasons, particularly with what he was dealt with in terms of receiving options. Who in this league would have had any kind of real chance at going to the AFCCG again with losing so many weapons and a replacement of rookies? Not many, if any at all.

When Kenbrell Thompkins stated that Brady called and texted him day and night every single day throughout training camp in into the regular season I realized how special that he is.

I'd give the offense a solid "B" for the season, but that would have easily been a "C" to "C-" had it not been for Brady's effort and talent.

Our offensive line wasn't great, our 2 star TEs played in a total of 7/36 possible games this year, and our wide receivers were a complete joke.

This was a B+ offense that seemed far worse than it actually was, thanks to last year's A+ one. They rarely put a full game together and had a few complete stinkers, but that's how things go in the NFL. Given how dominant the Broncos were on offense, I think it's fair to call them an A+ offense, have a gap in the A and A- range (because the Broncos were that good) and put the Pats as one of a few teams at a B+.

With Gronkowski in the offense the Pats were the number 1 passing offense in the NFL for the span he was here. That is a fact Statistically. Yes injuries really do suck.

Btw if I hear Gronkowski can't stay on the field one more time I'm going to lunge at their knee while it's planted to see if they can stay healthy. I'm also thinking about putting their arm in a vice and forcing it in another direction to see if it doesn't break. After that I will have them go to the surgeon that did the plate in his arm to see if they heal up as well. Not really but you get my meaning? These have been freakish unavoidable injuries I don't think it is really fair to the man to call him injury prone like he is some kind of prima Donna. He is a freaking wrecking machine and besides Calvin Johnson, the best weapon in the NFL IMO.

I definitely agree with you that people shouldn't be criticizing Gronk (or most) players for being injured, as sometimes it's just a part of the game.

That said, I can also see where they are coming from. After all, he has been injured in the past 3 seasons' postseason runs, with 3 different injuries. Those last 3 SB/AFCCGs would have been 100% different with Gronkowski playing...just huge.

While you can't "blame" that on him by any means, and you have a great point in bringing it up, it's still very unfortunate and concerning. Luckily, we have 2 more years before the bigger money kicks in to his deal, so they'll have plenty of time to assess whether or not he's just one of those bad luck players, or if there's something else there.

I give them and A

after the record setting Denver team with over 600 points only the bears had one more point scored then the pats 444 points bears 445 points, and that's with Gronk and Shane Vereen missing most of the season and playing 3 rookies who had less then 50% comp per with the ball thrown there way,

so with that said I give the offense as whole an A and Brady an A plus

It wasn't average, but it wasn't dangerous this year. I wasn't confident that we could win a shootout or put points against an elite defense. We had an easy schedule as well this year.

I voted D.
When they had to have a 1st down, when they had to Not Give Up a Sack, they failed,
repeatedly, and at Boston Latin School, Failure = D.

I think you posted this on the wrong forum. We're not Jets fans.
