1) The defensive line is among the best in the business, all FIVE of them. There is no reason for the rest to be active. Wright should be extended. He had another solid game on the DL and on special teams.
2) We have four top linebackers, our four starters, and a solid pass-rusher in Banta-Cain. Banta-Cain should be extended. I'm still not confident that we have any quality backups, but that discussion is for another day. We do have a decent special teamer in Alexander.
BOTTOM LINE
We have TEN solid front seven players. We don't need more for now.
